No. CEUs must be earned and submitted within your two year renewal period.

What do I do if a seminar that I attend did not issue a certificate of completion/attendance?
Contact the vendor to obtain a certificate of completion/attendance to be submitted at the time of your renewal. The AAPC required index number must be on the certificate.

What do I do if I have a complaint regarding an AAPC approved vendor or their product?
AAPC strives to "Uphold a Higher Standard" and expects the same from our CEU approved vendors. If you encounter problems, please email your concerns to info@aapc.com.

How will I know if my CEUs were accepted?
You will receive your updated membership card in the mail. If your CEUs are not accepted, the AAPC will notify you via mail, email, or phone if any/all of your CEUs were not accepted.

How do I know when I am due to renew my membership?
Your renewal date is printed on your membership card. You will also receive two courtesy renewal notices prior to your renewal.

Does AAPC accept inservice CEUs?
AAPC will approve, without fees, all "not for profit" educational training for coders. This includes inservices, AHIMA-provided, CMS and local chapter events.

Why don't you offer CEUs for AHIMA or CMS events?
We do offer CEUs for AHIMA and CMS audio conferences and workshops. We also offer CEUs for AHIMA online self assessments. Get more details.
