ICD-10-CM Implementation Training
Everything you need to know to implement ICD-10 in your practice.
Ideal for anyone with responsibility over their practice or facility’s coding, health information management, and/or implementation of ICD-10.
ICD-10-CM Anatomy and Pathophysiology
Advanced training for the increased clinical specificity requirements of ICD-10-CM.
Ideal for those without a very strong understanding of, or experience with anatomy and/or pathophysiology.
Specialty ICD-10-CM Code Set
Multi-specialty or single-specialty code set training with advanced, hands-on coding of real-world cases. General Code Set training should be completed before taking the Online Course.
ICD-10 Proficiency Assessment
Measure your ability to accurately code the ICD-10-CM code set.
Required for ALL certified AAPC members. Recommended for all others responsible for their practice or facility’s coding of ICD-10-CM.
Available October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2014

It will measure your understanding of ICD-10-CM format and structure, groupings and categories of codes, ICD-10-CM official guidelines, and coding concepts.

  • Required for AAPC certified coders, recommended for all other coders
  • Two (2) years to take and pass the assessment, beginning October 1, 2012 (one year before implementation of ICD-10) and ending September 30, 2014 (one year after implementation)
  • 75 questions, open-book, online, and unproctored
  • Coders will have two (2) attempts at passing for the $60 administration fee
  • ICD-10-CM only (ICD-10-PCS will not be covered in the assessment)
  • No CEUs given
