I am new to using this forum discussion page. I am also new to coding so I need help PLEASE! If I have a 3year old that is coming in for a pre op visit for a dental procedure does that qualify as a preventive visit. Would I code it as a well child visit, then code the dental caries. My CPT code would be a preventive code with a E/M plus a modifier 25. Can someone please help me?

Check out V72.84 or V72.85 for your DX code. You would charge for an office visit not a preventative exam.
