Summary

The American Academy of Professional Coders is pleased to roll out our first regional conference. It will take place in the northeastern part of the country, in the beautiful city of Hartford, Connecticut. Here you will be able to have the conference experience in a smaller setting, and meet colleagues, educators, physicians, and others in your area. Time spent will be packed with outstanding educational sessions, a networking reception, entertainment, and vendors showcasing the latest products and information available. You won't want to miss this!

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

The American Academy of Professional Coders designates a maximum of 12 CEUs for the educational value of the conference. (Each session is 2 CEUs)

Transportation:

The nearest airport to the Connecticut Convention Center is the Bradley International Airport (BDL).

For taxicab services from the airport call 860-627-3128. The Marriott Hotel and Connecticut Convention Center are only 20 minutes away from airport.

Hartford's Free Star Bus is the easiest way to get around while in downtown Hartford. Its hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 11pm and Saturday 3pm to 11pm. Both the Connecticut Convention Center and the Marriott Hotel are on the Star Bus route.

Bushnell Park - is the oldest publicly funded park in the United States. Located below the State Capitol and legislative office complex, this park consists of rolling lawns, statues, fountains, a lake, and a historic carousel. It is the first park in the country purchased by a municipality for public use and was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted before he designed Central Park in New York City.

Mark Twain House - was the home of Mark Twain (a.k.a. Samuel Langhorne Clemens) from 1871 to 1891 in Hartford.
Wadsworth Atheneum - is the oldest public art museum in the United States and largest in the state of Connecticut.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does my fee include? Your registration fee includes six educational sessions of your choice, continental breakfast and lunch on both Friday and Saturday, as well as a banquet Friday night.

How many Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will I receive? You will receive a maximum of 12 CEUs if you attend all six sessions. Each session is worth two CEUs.
