This procedure, Redo Sternotomy with replacement of the ascending aorta with a 26mm Hemashield graft under deep hypothermic circulatory arrest.
Would you code it 33530, 33863? or 33530,33860, 33405?

I think it is the first 2.

Thanks!

33860 is for the replacement of the ascending aorta. (This is the code I would use)

33863 and 33405 are used when the aortic valve is replaced, but your note does not say that it was.

33530 redo cannot be used with 33860, only with CABG (33510-33536) and valve replacement/repair codes (33400-33496 and 33863).
