We are going to start using a new diagnostic test from Abbott (Architect Hiv Ag/Ab Combo test) that detects both HIV antigens and antibodies simultaneously. The methodology is chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay. Is anyone else using this test and if so what CPT code(s) are appropriate? I was considering 82397 chemiluminescent assay... any suggestions? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
