Default Outpatient Oncology Administrative Assistant/New Orleans, LA

Oncology Clinic
Schedule: Full-time
Shift: Day shift (Mon-Fri)
Hours: 8-4:30
Job Details: Training beyond high school is required
The Outpatient Oncology Administrative Assistant will be responsible for all charge entry for the oncology clinic and infusion center. The position will work with the clinic and administrative staff to ensure that all charges are captured and entered correctly.



Knowledge and Skills



Required:
1. Computer experience
2. Customer relation skills
3. Able to handle multi-phone lines
Preferred:
1. Knowledge of Medical Terminology
2. Knowledge of CPT and ICD9 coding

Education and Experience

GED /High School Diploma: Required

Related Experience: One (1) year experience working in a physicians’ office preferred.

Hospitalist Representative
Department: Hospitalist
Schedule: Full-time
Shift: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8am - 5pm
Job Details: 3-5 years experience is req
Experience is required
The Hospitalist Representative is responsible for assisting the Hospitalists Team in all aspects of the department. Duties may include data entry, answering phones, taking messages, typing, filing, and record keeping. In additions the Hospitalist Representative will be responsible for posting and verifying all billing charges from physicians, and arranging any folllow-up on discharged patients.



Job Specifications - Knowledge and Skills



Required:
1. Computer skills
2. Customer Relations Skills
3. Billing and Coding experience
4. Medical terminology
Preferred:
1. Working knowledge of Microsoft office
