Default ICD9 versus clinical

How would you code: 1) endometrium, weakly proliferative o atrophic endometrial gland with focal cystic change 2) extensive atypical reactive squamous metaplasia, 622.9 or would you use clinical signs and symptoms 795.02 3) Reative lymphoid tissue any help appreicated Thanks AB

I need to ask a question..."1) endometrium, weakly proliferative o atrophic endometrial gland with focal cystic change 2) extensive atypical reactive squamous metaplasia"

Is the "squamous metaplasia" of the endometrium? Or the cervix? If it is the endometrium I would use 621.8 - which would also cover atrophic endometrium.

Does this make sense to you?
