Default Coding Wound size - Should I add or multiplier

Sharp debridement of right lower extremity of skin , measuring 12 cm x 6 cm x 2
What is the right answer ?
1) 12 cm x 6 cm x 2 = 144 sq/cm
2) 12 cm x 6 cm x 2 = 20 sq/cm

Thanks,

I'm a little confused on what you are asking. If your question is what the area would be of a 12 x 6 x 2 wound. It would be 12 x 6 or 72 sq cm. The 2 represents the depth which is not considered for the size since you just need the area. The documentation should reflect the tissue removed (epidermis, dermis, subQ, fascia, muscle or bone) to determine the code.
