Default ER Consultation Diagnosis Coding

My previous thread was unclear. Pt comes to the ER for chills. He is being treated at another hospital for pancreatic cancer. The gastroenterologist on call is called for a consult. Afterward he writes his consultation encounter for his coder. How would the dx be coded? 1) chills 2) Hx pancreatic cancer or
just chills or what. Thank you

I would say chills, unless the physician note states this is due to the pancreatic ca. The secondary dx should be the pancreatic ca, no hx of since you say he is still being treated for it.
