CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME WHY IS IT THAT MEDICAID IS NOT PAYING FOR THIS CODE 99393 THEY SAID IS AN INALID REFERRAL CODE FOR A WELL CHILD CHECK UP

is it a new/ established patient? what diagnosis code is it linked to?

In your state, does medicaid assign providers to patients?

It depends on the program, some do & some don't. When was the patient's last Well Child visit? My state has very strict guidelines about when Well Child visits can be done and also we have to do particular things at each visit. For example, vision & hearing for age 4+, bloodwork at 9 mos, 2 yrs & 18 yrs as well as having a particular procedure code on every WC visit - S0302.
