Default Diabetes education

One of our physicians wants to teach another diabetes class. She just received her certification for the certified diabetes educator status. The first time she taught the class, she did not have her certification so she met individually with the members of the class during the group session and billed 99213 etc for the visit. Now that she has her certification, I need to know if she can bill G0109 for the group visit. Also, if she bills the G0109, she cannot bill a 99213 for an individual visit also, correct? She is under the assumption that she can bill the same pt for a group and individual visit on the same day. Please advise.
