Default dx for carotid blowout

One of my physicians is doing a study with one of his residents on patients with a carotid blowout seen by our practice. The blowout was related to the patients head/neck malignancy. I'm not sure if this would be considered a ruptured blood vessel, a traumatic complication, or an injury. Any help finding an icd-9 code for this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
