Smile sports physical

When a patient comes in the office to be seen for only a sports physical what is the appropiate way to charge?

Since most carriers do not pay for these, most docs I have worked with will use the unliste E&M code for this purpose. Otherwise it is a preventive E&M, and you may not use a 52 modifier on any E&M code.

Since this is about the only time the child will be in we use the preventative code with dx code v20.2. My docs do a complete px

We have the same issue and the Doc's charge routine PE if it has not been done within the last year.
