Anyone have any tips on determining 1 or 2 docking limbs used for AAA's? CPT's 34802 vs 34803

I am lucky enough to have surgeons who will state the brand name and the number of limbs in there op notes, but I have also talked to the reps and placed the brand names in my CPT next to the correct code.

Hi Amber,

I just ahppen to be on here and saw your comment - I was going to suggest that you take a look at your RMC handout that we got when we had that off site Cardio Seminar with Dr. Shin. There is a page that has a few examples of modular Bifurcated vs unibody prosthesis. Pictures and everything. I also look to see what the brand name is for the prosthesis and google it.
