Default Venipuncture?

We have a provider who doesn't document venipuncture in the procedure code,
but there is a laboratory result and under certain diagnosis he will document:
Lab:WBC;platelet count;LDH.etc.and we verified with our Medical Tech.and they
confirmed that the provider did ordered for the tests and it was done by them.
So,can we code for 36415?
Thanks again.

Default Venipuncture?

Hello Debra,
I talked to the provider and he told me that he doesn't know the code and
sometimes when he order for venipuncture he doesn't know if the procedure was done on the day of the visit because sometimes the patient will come back for the blood test in different day.He even told me that I'm the coder it's my responsibility to code for the services that they miss to code.Thanks.
