Good Day,
I was wondering if anyone knows of any upcoming semiars with respect to coding op notes, I know that AAPC has one but it's not until Aug 08, I am wanting to learn tips/tricks on how to dissect the op notes, the seminar aapc is putting on would be perfect but I just wanted something sooner. I would be new to coding from Op-notes as I am currently employed by physicians who do not do any surgeries, but wanting to try my hand in it. Any leads/ suggestions would be appreciated. Igenix puts out a guide called "Coding from the operative report"
www.igenix.com Carol Buck's "The Next Step" is coding from op reports. can be purchase from AAPC Other websites to look at that may have something: www.codingconferences.com from The Coding Institute www.mcveyseminars.com www.decisionhealth.com - look under events tab Hope these help. You may want to also mention to your local AAPC chapter about having a workshop. Some chapters have a roundtable workshop where they code from operative reports. Seminars are nice and can be educational, but for some of us new to coding, workshops are very benefical.
