Need help coding out multiple FNA's
Hello,
I have a provider that performs thyroid FNA X 2 for multiple nodules on the same DOS that he is sending off for biopsy. He has been reporting it as 10022 and 10022-59 but I am wondering if this is correct. Would 10022-76 be more appropriate? Looking forward to hearing what everyone else thinks.... Thanks in advance for your help. Stephanie

the use of the 59 is correct. The 76 is not correct as this is not a repeated service since they are separate nodules and both are performed in the same session.
