Default E&M tool

For anyone out there that codes ER's: do you get to use whatever E&M tool that you choose, or do you have to use the one that your supervisors tell you? Is there some rule or regulation about that anywhere?

For fac, we use ACEP's. For Pro Fee, we use Highmark's.
