Coding consultant needed - This position is closed
We are looking for an independent contractor with experience training/coaching Family Practice providers in coding. We provide billing and remote coding services and are based in Austin, Texas. We’d like to find someone for this project and future coding related work. This project involves a 3 day assignment ($750/day + travel) to Oklahoma to perform a coding training session to Family Practice physicians. We will provide an analysis of each provider’s coding. This analysis will include showing the frequency of their use of different E&M codes compared to their peers, their prior months and the Medicare average for OK. It will also include a set of 10 audited records with extensive notes for each provider. The consultant will need to review that material and provide one-on-one coaching with each provider. In addition, consultant will need to provide overview session(s) to ground providers in importance and basics of coding. Some providers are new to practicing.
