Project Description: Aerotek's client is currently seeking a Certified Professional Coders. Responsible for coding and abstracting inpatient and outpatient medical records by adhering to established guidelines. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Minimum: Completion of a Medical Terminology course and/or ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding class and the national certification. Advance computer and word processing skills; Ability to successfully operate encoding and abstract software; Ability to communicate effectively. 1+ years experience in medical coding. The assignment will take place on-site, and there will be no remote consulting.
