When we do CXR's, alot of times the order and the indication on the report will state for example: MASTOIDITIS, PNEUMONIA, BRONCHITIS. The impression is normal. Would we still code for the MASTOIDITIS, PNEUMONIA, BRONCHITIS or v71.89/v72.85
Thanks:-) |

If the impression is normal, you cannot code the mastoiditis, pneumonia, and bronchitis. I would code V71.89 and the code for radiologic examination, V72.5.
