Default Outpatient Psychotherapy Coding/Auditing

I am looking for assistance in outpatient psychotherapy coding and auditing.
I specifically need some guidance in documentation for the services - 90804-90809.
in addition I have been looking for an auditing tool for psych w/o success.

Does anyone know of a seminar for outpatient psych coding or a helpful website.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you find a good seminar let me know. They are really hard to find.

We have been thru some audits on our 90804-90806 and 90808. I will help if I can.

Smile Psychotherapy

Hi Debbie,

Try this link:
http://www.pdhealth.mil/clinicians/downloads/afms.pdf

May be helpful in some ways.

There is also a a book by Ingenix you could order. It is a little pricy. I got it for $150 used in 2008. It is for Behavioral health, has all the codes for psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers.

Hope the above link may help in the meantime.

Barb
