Billing Specialist Opening - Denver, CO
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Billing Specialist in a fast paced Primary Care Medical Practice. Utilizing an electronic practice management system, the Medical Billing Specialist handles the complete billing cycle from the claim submission to the EOB posting. Processes include but are not limited to tracking status of claims, assisting in challenging insurers denials of payment of claims, premlinary collections from insurers and patients.
A MEDICAL BILLING SPECIALIST MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: Two years minimum experience in medical billing, preferably with primary care physician. Experience of posting charges, payments adjustments and refunds utilizing and electronic practice management system, NextGen preferred Experience in patient collections Proficient work experience with clearing house files and electronic eligibility Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Expert working knowledge of CPT and ICD coding Written and oral communication skills including grammar, punctuation and style. Proficient in Microsoft office suite, including Excel spreadsheets creation. Ability to work independently.
