Foreign body removal?

I think I know the answer but I would like to know if I am correct.
The doctor did an emergency EGD for a pt who had swollowed razor blades.
The docotr used three different scopes and many attempts but was unable to retreive the razor blades as they were to far into the jejunum. Can I code for foreign body removal 43247 or just 43235 because nothing was removed?

I would go with the 43235...

I would choose the 43235 with a 22 modifier for sure...hopefully your doc documented all the attempts, different scopes and time spent trying!!
