Default silo placement

we are billing an unlisted procedure for silo placement with a resection of the small intestine. i recieved a denial that the silo placement was included in the resection. i know this isnt right but i need documentation stating that it is not included and they have already denied it with the OP report. can anybody help

Sorry, but this is global to the original surgery (I'm guessing CPT 49610 ... or in that neighborhood).

You CAN code when you do the final closure, but all those returns to the OR for silo reduction are considered global to the main procedure.
