My name is Erin Miller and I am a certified medical coder. I have been working in the medical field for 4 years as a front office receptionist and I am currently still employed. I offer exceptional customer service skills due to working with patients face to face and via phone on a daily basis. I am able to handle tough situations under pressure. I look forward to challenges, enjoy researching problems, multi-tasking, and adjust very well to change in the workplace. I am a team player and also work well independently. I received my CPC-A (November 2010) and would like to be given the opportunity to build my experience with this new skill in medical coding. I am currently searching for a full time, day shift position, with at least 40 hours to utilize my skills, and advance my knowledge.

Primary Responsibilities: (Receptionist) Check in patients, answer multiline phone, enter and scan patient demographics, medical history, and insurance info into EMR (TrakNet), verify insurance coverage/benefits, edit/modify templates in EMR.
(floater) clean instruments, scan patients for custom orthotics, xray patients, develop/copy xrays, scan patients for PVR.

November 2010 - Medical Coding Certificate – (CPC-A) completed 80 hr course (Medical coding, billing, & terminology)
