Default Fracture care for stress fractures

I am new to ortho coding but am being told that you do not charge fracture care codes if the fracture is a stress fracture. I cannot find anything that substantiates that in the CPT 2012 book. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Thanks.

A stress fracture is still a fracture. Sometimes these can be difficult to heal and may require a bone stimulator.
