Default Hospital Parking Lot Delivery

A baby was delivered in a hospital parking lot, the provider saw the baby on the day of delivery and discharged the next day. I am having issues deciding on the v code to use. Would you consider the parking lot as the hospital since it's the same address? Do I use v30.1 or v30.00?

CPT 99460 - initial
CPT 99238 - discharge

Thanks.

Cynthia

Since the baby was not physically born in the hospital before admission I would use the V30.1. Let's see if we get other opinions......

Thanks Jackie. Let's see if others think otherwise.
