How do I find health plans with medicare and/or medicare advantage patients?

Hi All,

I am trying to learn how to identify each of the health plans in the US that have Medicare and/or Medicare Advantage patients. I work in Silicon Valley with a team that has built a Google-like engine that helps health plans optimize reimbursements. We do this by automatically meta-tagging and analyzing ALL of the data across the health plan, especially the mounds of unstructured data that is otherwise hidden and/or resource intensive to manually review. Any suggestions welcomed!

Michael,

Since all health plans that wish to initiate a Medicare advantage plan must apply through The Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS). I would query CMS to see if there is a public listing somewhere on their site or one they would share.

The most complete list will reside with CMS.
