Question Physician Signature

Does anyine know if a physician signature is required on a protocol or standing order for the administration of a flu or pneumonia vaccine?

In our office when we have a pt come in for a flu vaccine, we have the pt sign a consent form and then the RN signs as the witness and then it is filed in the patient's chart for documention purposes.
