Default Age Related diagnosis'

We have recently gotten new radiologists to read and more and more they are speaking of age related conditions such as cortical atrophy. Are these codable? As with the cortical atrophy (age related) do I use the 331.9? Thanks guys for your help. Robyn

I code radiology, so I see it all the time. It is codable, and usually payable. I don't use it if there is something more specific to the reason they are doing the study, but I do use it.
