Default CPT coding question

One of our doctors recently had spent 20 minutes discussing a patient's care with the patient's mother (patient is a minor) in the office on a separate day than an office visit with the patient (doctor did not see the patient). I'm not sure how or if this can be coded. Any suggestions?

You can use the unlisted E&M code for this. I do not think any payor will respond. But it will capture a charge to be billed to Mom.
