Shoulder Surgery

Overview:

The shoulder is a very complex joint, and most shoulder surgeries are multiple procedures. In this webinar, we will discuss tumors, anatomy of the shoulder, the rotator cuff, SLAP and Bankarts, synovectomy and debridement, modifiers, CCI edits, endoscopic reimbursement, and more.

You Will Learn:

• Acute vs. chronic conditions to choose the correct diagnosis
• Arthroscopic procedures and CCI edits
• Open procedures related to repair of shoulder injuries and conditions

This presentation can be used as the coding tool to appropriately assign the codes necessary for the most common shoulder surgery cases.

Lynn is the Senior Director of Coding Compliance and Education for Healthcare Information Services, a physician's billing service.
