The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) Hosts 16th Annual National Conferences In Anaheim And Orlando In 2008
Anaheim, Calif. Conference Registration Opens Aug. 1
SALT LAKE CITY – Aug. 1, 2007 – Following in the footsteps of its sellout 2007 national conference in Seattle, the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC, http://www.aapc.com/), the nation’s largest education and credentialing organization for medical coders, announces today its 2008 national conferences. To accommodate the demand from its members and medical professionals nationwide, two conferences will be held in 2008: Jan. 9-12 in Anaheim, Calif. and June 8-11 in Orlando, Fla.
Registration for the Anaheim National Conference opens Aug. 1.
The 2008 AAPC National Conferences will feature 50 professional development classes on topics such as 2008 CPT changes, 2008 ICD-9-CM update and ICD-10-CM, in addition to specialty sessions. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to 16 CEUs, network with colleagues, physicians and doctors, and visit with 80 vendors showcasing the latest products in medical coding.
"After the success of the 2007 national conference, we are holding two national conferences in 2008 to provide our 60,000 members with the most current information and the opportunity to attend a gathering of top coding professionals from all over the country," said Melanie Mestas, AAPC conference director. "Our 2008 conferences are expected to draw large crowds of medical professionals eager to stay up to date on the latest changes in the field."
Early-bird registration fees are:
$695 for members
$795 for conference registration and new membership
$995 for non-members
Registration fees for the Anaheim National Conference will increase by $100 after Nov. 10, 2007 and after Dec. 31, 2007 for the Orlando National Conference.
