CPC-H^® Preparation Course - This online course teaches fundamental coding skills for an outpatient hospital or facility setting and prepares the student to take the AAPC CPC-H^® exam for a career in medical coding. This course will not cover inpatient coding or coding in the freestanding ambulatory surgery center. It is meant to be completed within four months or less. It includes an online course textbook available in PDF format only. The required 2012 coding books are not included.
CPC-H^® Online Practice Exam Bundle (3 exams) - Each 50-question practice exam enables you to gauge your readiness for the actual medical coding exam. Access is available for one year from purchase date and multiple attempts are allowed.
CPC-H^® Examination - This 150 question exam evaluates a coder’s knowledge, rationales, efficiency, and effectiveness and grants CPC-H^® or CPC-H-A^® certification upon passing. The exam must be taken within one year from purchase date.

  Students enrolling in AAPC exam preparation courses (CPC®, CPC-H®) are required to purchase the CPT®, ICD-9-CM (Vol 1-2 for CPC® and Vol 1-3 for CPC-H®), and HCPCS Level II code books. The course and exam are updated each calendar year. Students may use current calendar year and/or the previous year's code books when taking any AAPC examination. However, it is strongly suggested that only current manuals be used for both the course and the certification exam. Students may need to consider purchasing code books for two different calendar years, if their exam is taken in a different calendar year than their course.
