CPC® Preparation Course
This course teaches fundamental coding skills for an outpatient physician setting and prepares the student to take the AAPC CPC® exam for a career in medical coding. It provides the most up-to-date information relating to CPT®, HCPCS and ICD-9-CM coding and assures a broad encompassing knowledge and expertise in reviewing and assigning the correct procedure and diagnosis codes for physician services. Successful completion of this course indicates that students are prepared to take the CPC® Exam.
- Prepares students to receive the AAPC’s gold standard CPC® credential and qualify for a career as a medical coder in a physician office setting
- Includes a textbook, workbook and more than 12 hours of audio lectures to add to the student’s learning experience
- Assigns each student a CPC® certified coach to assist the student as needed
- Provides the flexibility to complete coursework at home on your own schedule
- Must be completed within a four(4)-month period or less (additional time extensions may be purchased for $29.95 per month)
- Qualifies for college credit with the University of Phoenix

- Required materials (not included with course): AMA’s CPT® Professional | ICD-9-CM Volumes 1 & 2 | HCPCS Level II Professional (code book year should match course year)
