For the Record: ‘Bone’ Up on Your Anatomy and Physiology for ICD-10
Anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pathophysiology education are great places to start in your ICD-10 training. AAPC ICD-10 instructor and AAPC Physician Services Regional Director Betty Johnson was recently featured in For the Record Magazine highlighting these hot ICD-10 topics. “While the anatomy and physiology are not changing, the codes for ICD-10 (both CM and PCS) are much more specific, so a coder will need a more in-depth knowledge of the aforementioned topics,” says Johnson.
