A key element of ICD-10 implementation is the preparation of anatomy and physiology and AAPC ICD-10 trainer Jeri Leong, RN, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-I, CPMA, was featured in the July/August edition of CMA Today magazine. “To meet the challenge (of ICD-10 implementation), clinical staff, coders, and billing specialist should begin preparing to understand anatomy and physiology, not only the structure and location of organs and body parts, but also how they function,” said Leong.
