Networking Tip of the Month
Networking can begin with something as simple as a compliment. The easiest way to strike up a conversation with someone is to find something about them you admire and tell them. Once you tell someone how much you like their watch, eyewear, hairstyle, etc., it’s easy to start a conversation. Be genuine, most people can see right through an insincere compliment.
Then introduce yourself and ask about where they work, what their responsibilities are, and how long they’ve been a member. Exchanging business cards is always helpful and it’s a great way to remember names too!
