October 15th is the deadline for attendance reimbursement requests for 3rd quarter meetings. Chapter meeting attendance sheets and Quarterly Meeting Report forms may be faxed to 801-236-2258 or emailed to email@example.com. Online reimbursement deposits will be made November 15th.
Make Your Chapter the 2011 Chapter of the Year
Now’s the time to evaluate your chapter to see if you have what it takes to be the 2011 Chapter of the Year. To be considered for this coveted honor, a chapter must meet the basic expectations: submit required information on time and sponsor meetings, exams, review classes, and seminars, etc. The chapters that have been awarded this title in the past had exemplary officers who went above and beyond to creatively meet the needs of their chapter members. Take time now to evaluate what your chapter has done this year; is there something more you can do that would put you in line to become AAPC’s next chapter of the year?
Honor Your Chapter Members
At the end of the year many chapters plan meetings or banquets where they honor their members’ accomplishments, such as attaining certification or making outstanding contributions to the chapter or community. Refer to the Chapter Members tab on the Officers page of AAPC’s website to see which of your chapter members passed an exam this year. AAPC offers local chapters economically-priced products such as padfolios, highlighters, and t-shirts, which can be given to chapter members as gifts.
Qualify for a Discount to Las Vegas
You are eligible for a $300 discount to AAPC’s national conference in Las Vegas next April if your chapter qualifies. To qualify, your chapter must sponsor at least six chapter meetings where CEUs are offered and host at least four exams in 2011. If your chapter is behind on either requirement, there is still time to schedule during these last three months of the year. Remember that early bird registration for conference ends in January.
Accept the Challenge
The AAPCCA Board of Directors and the AAPC National Advisory Board have challenged all members to donate $1 to Project AAPC, a collective effort to feed the hungry in America, through the upcoming holiday season and beyond. If your chapter members participate, please 1) collect the money 2) write one check made payable to AAPCCA – Project AAPC 3) mail the check to the below address.
