By now we’ve all heard about how the US is behind the majority of the world in terms of ICD-10. AAPC ICD-10 trainer Brenda Edwards, CPC, CPMA, CPC-I, CEMC highlighted some of the struggles seen in other countries with ICD-10 and how we can learn from those lessons. “While we may be able to gain insight from these previous implementations, ours will be different. Everything currently tied to an ICD-9-CM code will be impacted and AAPC is ready to help with implementation training if you are unsure where to begin,” she stated.
