CMS Posts a List of Who Needs to Revalidate Enrollment
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has posted on its website a downloadable file of all providers and suppliers who were mailed a revalidation letter. The list, which will be updated on a monthly basis, contains the name and national provider identifier (NPI) of every provider or supplier who was sent a revalidation letter, and the date that it was sent.
Check the list, and check it twice!
All providers and suppliers enrolled in Medicare prior to March 25, 2011 must revalidate their enrollment information by March 25, 2015. Providers and suppliers are asked, however, to revalidate only after being asked to do so by their Medicare administrative contractor (MAC). MACs are sending out notices on a regular basis to begin the revalidation process for each provider and supplier.
Providers and suppliers who are on the list, but have not received the letter, should contact their MAC, CMS said.
