ICD-10 Hub: ICD-10 Readiness-Preparing for the Transition
“A real challenge for coders will be documentation insufficient to support the specificity required for the new ICD-10 code sets,” says Dixon Davis AAPC Physician Services VP of Business Development. In a recent ICD-10 Hub posting, Davis highlights three key areas for medical groups to pay close attention to as many begin their ICD-10 implementation.
“Although changes in the current plan could change, it is good advice to prepare for the storm rather than be caught unprepared,” Davis adds. With the ICD-10 deadline looming closer each day, the advice is well timed.
