ENT Today: ICD-10 to Bring Big Changes …
With the ICD-10 implementation date still a year away it’s a great time for physicians to ready themselves for the coding changeover. In a recent ENT Today article AAPC’s VP of ICD-10 training and education Rhonda Buckholtz, CPC, CPMA, CENTC was featured as an expert source on the topic.
“It is imperative that practices begin to think strategically and figure out what needs to be done and how to pay for it,” she stated. “ICD-9 is completely outdated. Not only is there a need for more codes, but [there is] a lack of space for new codes.”
