Networking Tip of the Month – June 2012
When reaching out to someone new, express how much time you will take. Recognize that everybody is busy and respect other people’s time and schedules. Introduce yourself with something like, “Hi, I’d like to briefly discuss one thing with you. Do you have two minutes right now?” If the person is too busy, schedule a time when you can talk with them later.
