Radiology Today: The Ups and Downs of Computer Assistance

New and emerging technology tends to make professionals nervous about job security. However, when properly used, computer-assisted coding (CAC) can be a valuable industry tool. Verna Pregnon, CPC, CPC-H, CIRCC, CPC-I, CCC recently published an article in Radiology Today, in which she expounds on the ups and downs of CAC.

“CAC can improve consistency, productivity, and statistical data reports. It also can be integrated with other systems and online resources,” she says. “Using a CAC program will allow a ‘canned’ report to be moved quickly.”
