She offers four tips for those considering a career change, especially if they’re switching to the medical coding industry.

  • Don’t underestimate the difficulties you’ll face
  • See it through; it’s worth it

She doesn’t guarantee that you won’t be experience culture shock like she did, but hopes you’ll be able to minimize it and embrace a new career.
