We will be sharing a number of strategies to help your practice successfully implement ICD-10-CM. Please remember to track your progress in your ICD-10 Implementation Tracker on AAPC’s website.
Reassessment
Reassessing the ICD-10 timeline would be beneficial to all practices at this point. A new look at existing systems, processes, procedures, policies, and technology that will be impacted by ICD-10 should be performed. This will allow a decisions to be made as to what steps can have more time spent on them to ensure full compliance by the live date. A fresh look at things, including IT systems, software, hardware, implementation/code deployment, cross-walks, staff training and education, documentation readiness assessments, and productivity will need to be taken.
