APR/MAY – Upcoming Events
May MAYnia May Be Over But the Prizes Keep on Coming…
Because AAPC keeps on giving
Many officers have responded with thanks for the great door prizes AAPC donated to all chapters who scheduled meetings during the month of May. But that’s not all, AAPC keeps on giving because all attendees at the meetings are eligible for discounts (through June 30th) on 2015 code books and AAPC Coder when they mention the coupon codes they received at the meetings. Be sure to share this information with your members at the June meeting!
We will also announce the winners of the contest!
We hope your meeting was well attended because if so, your chapter may be one of eleven that wins additional prizes! We’ll pick the top nine meetings with the highest average attendance and then one meeting and one seminar with the most guests (non-AAPC members) attending. If you want to participate in the contest, treasurers or presidents must remember to upload the meeting attendance sheets in the financial area of aapc.com by the beginning of June. Seminar attendance sheets must be submitted if you think you had the most non-AAPC members attend. They must be emailed to email@example.com or faxed to 801-236-2258. Meeting attendance sheets will not be processed if emailed or faxed.Winning chapters will be notified individually and announced in June’s Officer News. Prizes will be sent after that to be given at an upcoming meeting.
Regional Conferences in Chicago (August 28-30) and Anaheim (September 18-20)
Why regional conferences are such a great deal
AAPC’s regional conferences give attendees the opportunity to experience an AAPC conference on a smaller scale and for less cost while providing the same great education and networking as national conferences. The crowd and class sizes may be smaller but there’s the same feeling of camaraderie amongst the attendees.
Discounts for officers and a contest for chapters!
The best part is that chapter officers may qualify for discounts to the regional conferences. If you were an officer last year, and if your chapter was in good standing, you are eligible for $100 off either conference. (Additionally, if your chapter stays in good standing this year, you’ll be eligible for a discount to the regional and national conferences in 2015.) And new this year, the local chapter with the most attendees in Chicago and Anaheim will win dinner with our CEO, Jason VandenAkker, at the conference, as well as a visit from an ICD-10 speaker at an upcoming chapter meeting. Feel free to contact a member of AAPC’s conference team if you have any questions.
